About Joe Warren
Joe Warren has been an avid fly fisherman and fly tier virtually all his life and currently resides in Carson, WA, in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. He also writes fly fishing articles and is an outdoor photographer. A listing of magazine credits include: Northwest Fly Fishing, Southwest Flyfishing, Fish Alaska, Washington-Oregon Game & Fish, Salmon Trout Steelheader, Flyfishing & Tying Journal, Journal of Western Fly Tying, Steelhead Fly Fishing Journal, Warmwater Fly Fishing, and Flyfishing. He is the author of two books, Tying Glass Bead Flies and Fly Tying With Poly Yarn (Frank Amato Publications). He also presents fly fishing programs to fishing clubs throughout the country. His fly fishing travels have covered Arizona to Alaska, B.C. Canada, Mexico, Patagonia and England for many species from rainbow trout to sheefish.
Joe is also a member of the Daiichi Hooks pro staff with Angler Sport Group.
When not in pursuit on the water with his fly rod, Joe is also an avid big game hunter for deer and elk in the fall. His favorite stalk and hunt is high country mule deer.
Utilizing his blessed skills in fly fishing, Joe co-founded and organized Christian Fly Fishing RoundUp, a weekend camp ministry for men and boys that is in it's 12th season.
